BioN is the first Russian national level network of graduate schools in natural sciences and, in a larger context, as an intellectual innovation initiative to develop biotechnology applications in Russian life sciences. BioN is designed as a network of leading centers in different fields of  biotechnology associated with the partner universities and research institutes. Such a network would promote a number of coordinated activities, introduce common standards and practices and would significantly improve the quality of postgraduate education in the Russian Federation.
